Rags to Riches?
Jennifer's story is one of rags to... well, half-way decent clothes. She's excited to share the story of God's work in her life. From secular, humanistic new ager to born-again Christian, Jennifer's seen both sides of the fence. Running off with her boyfriend and marrying at age seventeen, working in the food industry from busgirl to owning her own shop, Jennifer's success in the business still left her dry. Hearing the gospel fresh for the first time at age 38, Jen gave up a life of misguided dreams (including becoming a rock star), and settled more wholesomely into her role as wife and mother. A change of heart has yielded much joy as Jennifer continues to pursue God's will in her life.
"I've applied God's word to all aspects of my life, from gardening and interior decorating, to relationships and even dieting," says Jennifer Cote, author of the cookbook/devotional, From the Land of Milk and Honey [WinePress Publishing 2006], and owner of The New Deli eatery in Pinole, California. "I'm eager to share that. The secular world we live in could use a little more spirit-breathed instruction, straight from the Bible." Jennifer hopes the presentation of efficient, exciting, tasty recipes from a pro will mix well with faith-based nuggets of insight found in her cookbook.

Marrying at age 17, raising kids while running The New Deli, surviving 30 years in the food business, Jennifer shares her perspective as a former New Ager who came to know the Lord. Involved with praise and worship, Sunday School teaching and drama at Community Alliance Church of Richmond, California for over ten years, Jennifer shares the victories and challenges of her Christian walk. She enjoys tailoring messages to highlight the theme; you can invite Jennifer to speak for your next Banquet, Retreat, or Conference.
